Promoting PrEP in the country of Malawi. PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a highly effective drug treatment o prevent contracting HIV. When taken consistently, it reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by roughly 99%.
Malawi faces a significant HIV epidemic, with nearly 1 million people living with HIV in 2024. PrEP is part of several ongoing efforts to control the spread of the virus. These are three of eight proposals created for a public health agency.
